Welcome To The Party Pal journeys to a galaxy far, far away in an episode dedicated to the gift that keeps giving, Star Wars. In an dual-focused episode, the most recent offerings from the Jedi, Sith, and droid-thronged Star Wars universe are discussed in depth. First up, hosts Mitch Lucas and Michael Shields set their sights on The Mandalorian, the space Western web television series that premiered on Disney + back in November. Set in the Star Wars universe, the series takes place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and 25 years prior to the events of The Force Awakens. The Mandalorian follows the exploits of a Mandalorian bounty hunter beyond the reaches of the New Republic. Jon Favreau serves as the shows creator, head writer, and showrunner, and The Madalorian stars Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) in the series title role. Following an examination of The Madalorian captivating eight episodes — and the obvious discussion of the phenomenon that is Baby Yoda — attention is turned towards the final film in the nine-part “Skywalker Saga,” The Rise of Skywalker. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is a film produced, co-written, and directed by J. J. Abrams and is the third installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, following The Force Awakens (2015) and The Last Jedi (2017). In this episode, Mitch and Michael exhaust their superabundance of Star Wars knowledge and find a way to both celebrate the latest offering from the Star Wars universe while bidding farewell to a storyline that has meant the world to them for decades.
